CONTROLLERS AT LIVE EVENTS

  • Competitors are responsible for bringing their own controller to the events.
     

  • Competitor may provide their own controller so long as the controller does not provide an unfair competitive advantage to the Competitor, does not interfere with the operations of the game or tournament, does not require any special configuration, cabling, and is designed to work natively on the console the Competitor competes on. Conflux Gaming may, at its sole discretion, check and approve controllers or disallow any controller and require the competitor to use an approved controller.

 

General Conduct Rules

By signing up for the tournament, you agree to adhere to the tournament and general rules

  • Treat others as you would be treated.

  • Be honest, be committed, play fair. No cheating.

  • Show respect to all other humans, including teammates, competitors, and event staff.

  • Be courageous in competition and in standing up for what is right.

  • Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to: Hate speech, offensive behavior, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion. (No excessive trash talking)

  • No Soliciting on site.

  • NO Stalking or intimidation (physically or online).

  • NO Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.

  • NO Posting or threatening to post other people's personally identifying information ("doxing").

  • DO NOT give any Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes unwelcome sexualized comments, jokes, and sexual advances.

  • DO NOT Advocate for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviors.

  • Conflux Gaming and Agua Caliente Resort and Spa has the right to refuse service at any time for any reason.

  • ALL PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING ON TIME TO EVERY MATCH.(includes the event times stated for registration/checkin times and the following scheduled times stated on the event page)  Use the Smash.gg bracket system to see your next match and placement as some matches may end quicker than normal. Conflux Gaming or Agua Caliente is not liable for any competitors who are not present.

  • Players are responsible for Signing up on-time for both online registry and physical location registry; We do not accommodate confirmations online, phone calls, and having others to vouch for you that you are signing up without you present. Players need to be present for the physical registry to participate in the tournaments during the physical location signups however if there are errors of signing up or removed from tournament/s  Please show verification email that YOU the player did sign up for the tournament but also the second email verifying that you were removed.

  • If a player is not present for their match after being called by the announcer, T.O. Conflux Staff or Judge, a 2 minute warning will be issued then after the 2 minutes immediate disqualification and non present competitor will be given a loss and placed into losers bracket if applicable. This disqualification will result in a strike against the competitor, once at 3 strikes in a single season, the player will be unable to sign up for tournaments online ( Smash.gg and etc.) The disqualified player will have to sign up in person for the remainder of the season.

  • Average Event Time: 3 Hours but may get-go 4 Hours (pre-setup control configuration before event starts)

  • Must have 8 players to run a bracket. If there are not enough competitors to run a bracket.

  • Conflux Gaming has final say over ALL rules and rulings on a case by case basis. If competitors continue to argue, bully, intimidate or be disruptive to ANYONE will result in a permanent ban Conflux Gaming does not condone toxicity in any event period. We understand the high level of competition, and it can get intense but, it is the responsibility of everyone to show sportsmanship and respect to everyone around them win or lose. Thank You for your support in making a positive experience for everyone.

  • DO NOT impersonate any person or entity (example's: pro-player or player, twitch streamers, YouTubers, etc.), falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity, or access the Services accounts of others without permission, forge another person's digital signature, misrepresent the source, identity, or content of information transmitted via the Services, or perform any other similar fraudulent activity will result in immediate name change or removal from tournament and possible band. 
     

  • All those who are attending the event are responsible for their own proper hygiene, this requires all to “be clean and wear clean clothing.”

  • Age restriction: Must be 21 or older with valid government issued photo I.D. | No Entry Fee

  • Conflux Gaming may change tournament rulings as needed for any reason. In the event of time constraints and venue discretion.

Permanent Weekly Wednesday Tournaments.
Smash Ultimate Pro Tournament 1v1 (Console Nintendo Switch)
  • 24 Players Double Elimination

  • 2 out of 3 games, 3 stock per game

  • 3 out of 5 games for Grand Finals

  • Clock: 7 Minutes

  • Starters & Counterpicks Stages (info at registration desk)

  • Rock, Paper, Scissor. Winner decides on 1st Starter stage

  • Winner of the 1st game selects the character first. Loser selects next stage (starters or counters) and character second. Repeat for the next game.

  • No Items, No Stage Hazards.

  • No Character Restrictions.

  • In the event of a tie breaker between both finalists. One game, one stock will be played to determine the winner.

  • Average Event Time: 3 Hours (pre-setup control configuration before event starts)

  • Players that are ranked in the top 24 of Conflux Smash Tournaments can only register to be in the Pro Tournament.

Smash Ultimate Novice Tournament 1v1 (Console Nintendo Switch)
  • 32 Players Single Elimination

  • 2 out of 3 games, 3 stock per game

  • 3 out of 5 games for Grand Finals

  • Clock: 7 min Games

  • Training Stage, Skies of Honor, Flamenco Tavern, and Kanzuki Beach Stage are Banned

Wednesday Sports Tournaments.

Madden 20 (Consoles Xbox One/PS4)
  • 16 players Single Elimination

  • Players will randomly play on either PS4 or Xbox

  • Head to Head Mode

  • Skill Level: All-Madden

  • Quarter Length: 3 to 5 min depending on the number of players signed up

  • Game Style: Competitive

  • Accelerated Clock: Off

  • Fatigue: Off

  • Event Type: Quick Presentation

  • Weather: Clear

  • Average Event Time: 3 hours

FIFA 20 (Console PS4)
  • 8 players Single Elimination

  • Players will play on PS4

  • The gameplay settings are defined by the FIFA 20 Ultimate Team Friendly Seasons game mode, they are listed below:

  • Difficulty Level: World Class

  • Half Length: 6 minutes

  • Stadium Settings:

    • Stadium: FEWC Stadium

    • Season: Fall/Autumn

    • Time of Day: Night

    • Pitch Wear: None

  • The following settings will be enforced for all users and unable to be modified:
